{"id":2351,"date":"2018-08-07T14:07:31","date_gmt":"2018-08-07T14:07:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nlwgroup.com\/front\/?p=2351"},"modified":"2021-08-11T10:11:21","modified_gmt":"2021-08-11T10:11:21","slug":"runcorn-navigation-bell","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.nlwgroup.com\/front\/runcorn-navigation-bell\/","title":{"rendered":"Historic Navigation Bell Restored"},"content":{"rendered":"\t\t<div data-elementor-type=\"wp-post\" data-elementor-id=\"2351\" class=\"elementor elementor-2351\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-6a6986a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"6a6986a\" data-element_type=\"section\" data-e-type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-fca0121\" data-id=\"fca0121\" data-element_type=\"column\" data-e-type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7af3d32 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"7af3d32\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>To mark the Britannia Railway bridge&#8217;s 150th anniversary and coinciding with the \u00a35 million restoration scheme, we have been chosen to restore Runcorn Viaduct&#8217;s iconic navigation bell.<\/p><p>From our first inspection, the bell was in relatively good condition considering its age and location, however, there were signs of corrosion and it was clear that the current coating would need to be removed and replaced with a modern epoxy system.<\/p><p>\u00a0We are no strangers to the delicate nature of cast iron, and our 40+ years of experience in both surface preparation and protective coating application ensured that we were able to deliver a high-quality protective system to our unwavering quality standards.<\/p><p>The bell is due to be displayed in Brindley theatre on 10th October to commend its use in helping ships to navigate Manchester Ship Canal.
